BRANKLYN (NTS)

Branklyn Gardens are described as the finest two acres of private garden in the country, this oasis of peace and colour is a real urban haven, within walking distance of Perth. It contains an impressive collection of many rare and unusual plants – among the most breathtaking are the Himalayan poppies, Meconopsis.

BLAIR CASTLE (HERCULES GARDEN)

Blair castle's grounds boast some of Britain's tallest trees and the restored Hercules' walled garden contains ponds, fruit and perennials.

CLUNY HOUSE

A spectacular hillside wild Himalayan garden in hills above the Tay specialising in woodland perennials and bulbs.

CAMBO HOUSE

Celebrated for its snowdrop festival in Spring and beautifully planted wall garden featuring roses, a potager and prairie planting.

St Andrews is the home of Golf, so finding a few holes should not be a problem. Fine dining and local pubs are in abundance in the town, with varieties to suit all tastes. Fishing is readily available in the local lochs and rivers. Go for a walk in the hills, or on one of the local beaches and soak in the local environment.
